The intro video introduces your 5-Star site and purpose to your user.
Here are a couple examples:
1. Cyndee Intro
- Use of selfie stick.
- Text appears on screen before the video is loaded. This level of editing is not required, but is something you could work toward as you continue using your 5Star center.
2. Beth Intro
- Someone else is holding the camera.
- Notice the background noise - phone ding, cars. These are not make/break, but shooting your video inside removes this completely.
3. Rick Intro
- Someone else is holding the camera.
- Background is pleasing and not a distraction from the message.
- Script is followed exactly.
- If it helps you to follow the script exactly, that's great! It's also okay if you feel more natural adding your own verbiage or language while you're working through your takes.
How To Get It Done
Control what you can!
- Download the script.
- Shoot the video inside so you can control lighting, background movement and noise.
- You're looking for natural lighting that isn't too dark (shadows) and isn't too bright (squinting or shiny forehead).
- Be aware of your background. There shouldn't be any signage or interesting stuff in the background that will detract from your message.
- Someone holding the camera for you will keep the phone steady and make you feel more relaxed.
- Be prepared to do many sequential takes! 10-15 is ideal.
- Remember Joe's training with Gina - you're just talking to a friend. 😁
Finally, and this is a big one, use Landscape not Portrait!
