It’s always best to investigate your local ordinances before you implement a marketing campaign. Contact your city offices and inquire about the laws.
Most city offices have a Code Enforcement Department, they can let you know about any sign ordinances. If your geographic area does not have this department, look for a Planning Commission. You may want to get a written copy of the ordinance as well.
Many cities forbid posting signs on public property, but that doesn’t prevent you from posting signs on private property when you’ve received permission from the property owner – make whatever arrangement is necessary to post your sign.
